This page provides all the necessary information about the enrollment and re-enrollment process for 9th to 10th grade at the Manuel Teixeira Gomes School District. Guidelines are available regarding deadlines, procedures to follow, and required documentation for each grade level.

Enrollment for 2026/2027
These applications for enrollment/enrollment renewals will be accepted from July 15 through July 24.
All enrollments completed after this deadline will be subject to a later placement process.
Please note thatenrollment is conducted in person by appointment, which must be scheduled via email (matriculas@aemtg.pt or secretaria.alunos@aemtg.pt) or by phone (282 450 410).

All parents and guardians are hereby informed that applications for enrollment or enrollment renewal must be submitted online through the Enrollment Portal (portaldasmatriculas.edu.gov.pt) using one of the following authentication methods:
- Citizen Card, digital mobile key, or credentials for accessing the Finance Portal.
If the parent or guardian does not have internet access and is therefore unable to comply with the above requirements, they may visit in person the administrative offices of the school district in their area of residence.
At the Manuel Teixeira Gomes School Group, you must request an appointment in advance (subject to availability) by calling 282 450 410 or by emailing matriculas@aemtg.pt or secretaria. alunos@aemtg.pt.

It is the parent or guardian’s responsibility to complete the enrollment process.
NOTE: On the enrollment application, the parent or guardian must list up to five schools or courses, in order of preference, in accordance with current legislation (Article 7, paragraph 3, of Regulatory Order No. 7/2026, dated April 14).
The enrollment application should preferably be submitted online through the Portal das Matriculas application (portaldasmatriculas.edu.gov.pt), using one of the following authentication methods: citizen ID card, digital mobile key, or login credentials for the Portal das Finanças.
Não sendo possível cumprir o disposto anteriormente, o pedido de matricula pode ser apresentado de modo presencial nos serviços administrativos do estabelecimento de educação e de ensino da área da residência do aluno, independentemente das preferências manifestadas para a frequência.

July 20: 9:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.–5:00 p.m. (Students who attended 9th grade at EB 2,3 Prof. José Buísel);
July 21: 9:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.–5:00 p.m. (Students who attended 9th grade at other schools);
July 22: 9:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.–5:00 p.m. (Students who attended 11th grade at E.S.M.T.G.);
Enrollment takes place in person by appointment, which must be scheduled via email (matriculas@aemtg.pt or secretaria. alunos@aemtg.pt) or by phone (282 450 410). You must present photocopies of all required documents. Please note that you will not be able to register without all the required documents, and that the administrative offices do not provide photocopying services.

- Citizen Card a);
- Vaccination Certificate (issued by a health center);
- 1 recent passport-style photo;
- Up-to-date family allowance statement for the year 2026 covering the last 3 months.
a) If you do not have a Citizen Card, you must present another form of identification in its place (e.g., passport or residence permit), along with your NIF (Tax Identification Number), NSNS (National Health Service User Number), and NESS (Social Security Number)
NOTE: Enrollment can only be completed in person with photocopies of all required documents:

- Citizen Card (for both parents) a);
- Proof of address b) and/or proof of employment (for the legal guardian);
- If the parents are separated, a document proving parental responsibility must be submitted;
- Document proving the household composition, validated by the Tax Authority (only in cases where the legal guardian is not the father or mother, or if it is necessary to prove that siblings or other children attending the same school complex belong to the same household as the student);
- Document proving the delegation of parental authority to a third party (e.g., power of attorney from the parents, court order, statement from an institution);
- The legal guardian’s work address, for the purposes of ranking (applicable only to legal guardians who provide their work address);
